A Brush With The Ancient World

There's a wide grin stretching across my face and I can't stand still. At last, we've found that goes a long way towards replacing the Blotting Brush we used to offer.

The original Blotting Brush manufacturers stopped making them during the long, peculiar paralysis of COVID. Even now, we still receive enquiries from people who, rather like us, have not forgotten what a remarkably useful little thing these brushes were.

The brushes we have located are 'miswak'. I first discovered miswak in Kenya in the 1980s, and have used them many times since. The frayed ends get into the gaps between your teeth rather better than most of the conventional brushing methods we’ve been sold in the intervening decades.

I urge you to give these a try. There is something rather satisfying about discovering that an ancient bit of ingenuity can still outperform the modern solutions designed to replace it.

Once again, the future turns out to have been invented several centuries ago.
