Sunglasses: A Dark Joke on Human Biology

It's time for my annual rant against suncreams, but this year I'm including sunglasses.

In my view, suncream is emulsified cowardice, a clammy lubricant slathered on by the paranoid to prevent the sun from doing what it should.....creating Vitamin D; supporting life itself.

Sunglasses? They trick the body into thinking it's dusk at noon, suppressing valuable cortisol and serotonin production.

Both are the sad, beige accessories of people who fear the sun when they should embrace it, when most skin cancers are caused by wearing sunglasses.
